Women on track

Coach:  John Murray
Session Cost: $15.00 (includes bike hire if required)
Session Time: 3 - 5pm Saturday (or Sunday if required)

This session provides an opportunity for those women who are new to the track a chance to give 'the boards' a try, as well as providing returning or regular female track riders another chance to ride a fixed gear!

With women and girls [15+] catered for in a welcoming environment, you can get used to riding on the wooden track at your own pace. Learn important skills such as starting and stopping, being comfortable riding onto the track and track bunch riding and swapping turns, while increasing your speed and fitness - there's no rest on a fixed gear! The session will be split into groups to ensure women of all abilities are catered for.  Track riding is easily learned, the equipment is inexpensive and the rules and etiquette are quite simple - take the time to learn more here.

Track bikes are available if you don't have your own and an experienced coach will fit you to the bike to ensure you're comfortable.  Why go to a spin class when you can do the real thing instead?

Cycling SA members and non-members are all welcome to this session, so bring along a friend.  Just wear comfortable clothing; bring your helmet and a drink and get ready for some fun! Ring the Cycling SA office on 8260 1800 if you have any questions regarding the session. Come to the Cycling SA entrance, SuperDrome, State Sports Park, Gepps Cross half an hour before the session start time.
