When categories are combined, the distance requirement of the lower category shall be observed.

5. Grading

All riders in graded categories initially by the state junior road handicapper. At the start of the year riders will have the right to query their grade however after the first event it will not be changed. Cycling South Australia reserves the right to change a rider’s grade at anytime.

5.1 JSCS Champion

After the final stage of the final JSCS event the person who has the highest overall points for their grade will be awarded the JSCS Champion. In the event that there is a tie, riders will be equally ranked (i.e. there is no tie breaker).

5.2 Interstate Participants

Interstate Participation is encouraged in the series and participants are eligible for series points. Interstate riders will be provided a grade upon their first event entry. They are required to provide proof of their ability level at the time of event registration.

7. Series Points

Points will be awarded for each event in the series. Individuals will be able to accumulate points for their own ranking by placing in the top 10 at each event. Riders who are leading the JSCS for their grade will be awarded a series leaders jersey. They must wear the series leaders jersey at any future JSCS events where they are still the leader of the series. Riders may be refused a start in that race if they fail to wear the leader’s jersey. Riders must be at the presentation to collect their jersey.
